Bordando Memorias

An exhibition featuring hand embroidered work created by 11 Latina immigrants who now call Wisconsin home. During Maria Amalia’s art residency at Synergy Coworking, over 40 Latinas gathered at various times between 2022 and 2023 to create art and community. The majority of these women were introduced to the art of embroidery for the first time. This group show is a reflection of a community of makers who in between stitches, love to share stories, memories, music, and latin food.
