When Hanging on by a Thread is a collection of tips I gave myself while struggling with anxiety. Using the transformative process of papermaking, abaca fiber was beaten into a slurry, thrown into a vat with water, mixed with disperse pigments, formed into sheets, pulp painted, pressed and dried. Often, life will put us through a similar process. For thirty days I gave myself permission to be lead by a needle and trust my hand, to do the work. Informed by my domestic life, this collection of pieces is a reminder to let go.
